The Zuger family bought it at Château Malescot-St Exupéry in 1955. At the time of the sale, the castle was in such poor condition that only 7 hectares of vines were planted.
An extensive replanting of vineyards was carried out during the following decade, when 80% of the vineyard was sown. The Zuger family, headed by Jean-Luc Zuger, who took over in 1994, continues to own and manage Chateau Malescot St. Exupery. Michel Rolland is the consultant.
