The first news of the Nebbiolo strains dates back to 1268, cited in a document from the castle of Rivoli. Information regarding the wines produced by this strain begins to appear only during the Middle Ages. Speaking specifically of the Barolo, its origins would go back to the beginning of the year 800 in the haciendas of the Falletti Marcheses, which produced it in the extensive lands of the Barolo, using extensive knowledge in the oenological field. It was Camilo Benso, Count of Cavour, who contributed to giving fame to this wine by having it served at diplomatic lunches being praised and admired by good tasters.
From then until today, the Barolo continues to be a symbol of high quality throughout the world. He was honoured as DOCG in 1980.
Wine from the vineyards of Serralonga and La Morra.
