IDDA means "She" in the Sicilian dialect, and is the term that, with affection and admiration, local inhabitants usually call Mount Etna.
IDDA is also the name of the joint project of two families, Gaja and Graci. The cultivated grape varieties are Carricante and Nerello Mascalese. The shades of colour of the labels, red as lava for Nerello Mascalese and blue as the nearby sea for Carricante, evoke the terraced vineyards and the movement of a spiral, an ancient symbol that represents cyclical continuity and eternal expansion.
The vineyard is located in Biancavilla, on the southwestern slope of the Etna volcano, between 700 and 800 metres from the atitud.
