Pago de Santa Cruz Gran Reserva, 2015

€89.40

This great wine has an attractive cherry red colour with ruby trim. Clean and intense. On the nose dominate fine nuances of ripe red fruit, frosted and pasified (berries, orange peel and plums), minerals (graphite), balsamic and light memories of violets, cocoa, butter, tobacco and liquorice. In the mouth it is tasty and well structured, with memories of red fruit (black currants) and raisins (plops), spicy (cinnamon), fine hides, noble aromatic woods (cedar), cocoa and excellent soft and ripe tannins. Very long and complex. A great wine with a lot of life ahead.

Bodegas Hermanos Sastre, S.L., was established in 1992. That was the moment when the Sastre-Gómez family - Father Rafael at the head and his two sons Pedro and Jesús María at their side after a long winemaking tradition, decided to found a small winery where to make wine from its 42 hectares of traditionally cultivated vineyard, without the addition of mineral fertilisers, herbicides or insecticides and with the greatest respect for the land that personalises its wines so much. And embarked on the adventure of wine, the family endowed the winery with the most innovative technology, always looking towards the highest quality in its wines.

The grapes for the preparation of the Pago de Santa Cruz come exclusively from a single vineyard with the same name.

Artisanal cultivation, without the addition of mineral fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides or insecticides.
